Why Attend the TCOM Conference?
Twenty-two years ago, the Praed Foundation launched the first TCOM Conference, known then as the Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths (CANS) Conference. The TCOM framework and CANS assessment tool were built on a simple and powerful idea: effective outcomes management must recognize needs and strengths while ensuring the voices of youth and families are centered in the process.
Since then, the TCOM framework has expanded to include a range of person-centered tools and decision-support applications for adults and families such as the ANSA, FAST, CAT, and RISE. Today, TCOM is used across 10 countries, 50 states, and 10,210 organizations, with more than 150,000 learners on the TCOM training and certification platform. This growth reflects a growing, global commitment to person-centered, collaborative, and data-informed practice to move from service systems into transformational systems.
The TCOM Conference provides an opportunity to learn from one another, celebrate progress, and strengthen our commitment to improving outcomes. It reminds us that transformation is an ongoing process, requiring continuous learning, growth, and responsiveness to the people and communities we serve.
Letter of Support
Please see this letter of support from Dr. John Lyons highlighting the value of the conference as a professional development and educational opportunity.
Conference Theme
Ever Forward: Growing Community, Cultivating Outcomes
This year’s theme reminds us that meaningful change emerges from collective knowledge and shared learning. It does not belong to any one person, organization, or discipline. It is built through partnership, reflection, and continuous discovery in service of each other and in service with each other. The work is ongoing, and our learning never ends. It is “ever forward.”
Advancing Change Through Diverse Perspectives
TCOM brings together people from all aspects of system improvement, implementation and improvement. Meaningful outcomes emerge when knowledge, wisdom and expertise are aligned, including policy, leadership, data, practice, lived experience, community, and culture in service of shared goals.
