Our work through TCOM focuses on community support, collaboration, and utilizing strengths to address needs for individuals and families. It is with these values that we want to share this event with the TCOM community.
On January 31st at 8:00 PM EST, the band MojoThunder will be playing a benefit concert at the Gateway Regional Arts Center (GRAC) in Mount Sterling, Kentucky. The GRAC has recently faced Federal funding cuts, so all proceeds from the show will go directly to GRAC to help cover operating costs and continue to support arts, humanities, service programs, and other community-oriented funding streams.
MojoThunder is a rock band from Lexington, Kentucky, known for its fusion of southern rock grit, blues influences, and modern alternative energy. Formed in 2018, they describe their sound as “Southern-Alternative,” blending harmonized vocals and guitar-driven arrangements with an unvarnished, high-energy stage presence.
Zac Shoopman, MojoThunder’s drummer, is also a Multimedia Specialist on our IPH team. Many of you have been positively impacted by his work through engaging videos for training, storytelling, and learning experiences across the TCOM community resources. This benefit show is another example of using strengths to respond when challenges arise.
