the TCOM team, on being honored with the 2025 Lyman T. Johnson (LTJ) Torch Bearer Award
for the College of Education.
The LTJ Awards at the University of Kentucky celebrate current students and former students
whose hard work, leadership, and service reflect the enduring legacy of Lyman T. Johnson, a
pioneer for equity and access in higher education. The Torch Bearer Award specifically honors
current students of each college whose academic achievement and determination positively
impact the lives of others, both within and beyond the university community.
Brandon exemplifies these values every day. His commitment to education, mentorship, and
person-centered practice continues to elevate our TCOM training team and the broader
community we serve.
