We’re all buzzing about the TCOM T-HIVE:
Trainers Helping InVigorate Education!
Last week, during the 19th annual TCOM conference, we convened a roundtable conversation with more than 40 TCOM trainers from around the world and asked them to think back to the first time they trained on the CANS/ANSA/FAST. What were you feeling? What did you wish you had in terms of support?
We have more than 600 trainers who are certified to teach at least one of the TCOM Tools. Not all trainers work in large organizations or systems that support them, and not everyone is able to attend the TCOM conference. What supports do they have? How do they stay up to date on changes to the TCOM curriculum? How do we stay abreast of all the innovations TCOM trainers are coming up with? These kinds of questions are why we are creating a learning community for TCOM trainers, named the TCOM T–HIVE (Trainers Helping InVigorate Education), based on the great suggestions of our roundtable participants.
Our goals for the T-HIVE are to:
- Provide a virtual space for sharing resources, information, and curricular ideas.
- Develop a learning community where we can connect with each other to develop and share training resources and provide each other with ongoing support.
During the conference, we demonstrated how the BaseCamp website tool has been used to facilitate the eQIP learning collaborative for FFPSA Qualified Individuals/Independent Assessors. Inspired by the invaluable feedback of the conference roundtable participants, now it’s time to get the online trainer community buzzing about the T-HIVE!
