Addressing and Understanding the Needs and Strengths of Adults in Care

Welcome to a new series focusing on Adult Mental Health. This month you will hear from members of the TCOM collaborative about their experiences working with and navigating the system of adult care. From clinicians to researchers, they share their approach to supporting the vast needs of the adult population.

Just as the CANS is a tool for understanding the needs and strengths of children and adolescents, the Adult Needs and Strengths Assessment (ANSA) is a multi-purpose tool developed for adults behavioral health services. The ANSA supports decision making to facilitate quality improvement initiatives and allow for the monitoring of outcomes of services. The ANSA was developed from the Communimetric theory to facilitate the linkage between the assessment process and the design of individualized service plans.

To learn more about the ANSA, email support@tcomtraining.com to receive a copy of the tool.
